The right time for heart measurements

Salvador Dalí

– The best day to weigh is Wednesday, after the weekend. – I heard that phrase from a friendly nutritionist during a party.

Today, Monday, after a break from the diet on Sunday, I remembered that phrase and promised once again not to weigh myself every day, as I had been doing. Analogies aside, we “weighed” a lot during our life. We judge ourselves, measure ourselves, constantly compare ourselves. And we should only do this at the right time. I’m not talking about the important decisions that we have to reflect on and make constantly, which can be crucial to our success. We should analyze ourselves after having had certain experiences, having made a bad mistake, having committed excesses. Because, then, our life enters the diet for good. Committing the “allowed” mistakes, yes, we could “weigh ourselves” and the heart would have the ideal measures to enter the happiness model. Even so, that double imperfection insists on appearing. Those grams of insecurity bothering us. That joy can unravel. Time for the self-love dressmaker to come in. As in fashion, love should have a loyalty card, but it can be exchanged. Sometimes, to make self-love back to fashion, just that word, that extra cheap affection, that is found in the heart store. One detail can make all the difference. In the end, you learn that love even has to be erased with the right rubber, as in the sketch.
