10 Jan We, the super heroes
“I know the world expects me to have superpowers, and this is going to be a little disappointing. But I just represent myself. ”
We are all Stan Lee. In 2018, the creator of Spider-Man and so many heroes with family powers that enchanted generations (and conflicts),passed away. It surprising his story that, like Mary Shelley and Tolkien, creation becomes a kaleidoscope of the author.
He said in an interview that at a certain point he felt bad about people being engineers or doctors and him was working with entertainment. Until he saw that it was something that did people good, and without it they could go to the bottom of the well. All of us yearn for a superhero.
In childhood, they are our parents. In adolescence, flirtatious. In college, a good tutor at work. At work, a good boss. In marriage, a partner. Until we realize that each of we have their own hero journey and there is no instant savior around the corner.
We have no fantasy, except this one of going to the fight. It can be our accumulated fat from stress, our clothes torn from the weekend. It can be a mother’s milk and blood dirty blouse, it can be a battered nurse’s coat on duty. Extraordinary are our common skills, which may not save the world, but save someone around us. Save the day, an hour, a moment.Up and away , above and beyond!
We, the super heroes.
